Invisible Men

Docking at Liberty Island.

Sometimes people rode these boats as a means of keeping warm. The fare was cheap. They might get kicked out of the terminals for loitering, but once on the boat, they could relax and catch some safe sleep.

In fact, my dogs were waiting for me in the station wagon, and the road led to home, and dinner, don't forget dinner. Woof!

1. Victoria Pensive 2. Mother and Son

These photos, not taken by me, are of a family gathered together during the holidays, a couple of years ago. They are the reflections of the subjects in a large mirror behind them. I distorted Mother and Son to give it an otherworldly atmosphere. The colors are deepened, and it appears to be night rather than day.

Victoria Pensive is the actual reflection cropped very close. I felt when I saw the photo, there was an air of isolation about the woman. She seems to be entirely alone, as though the heart is reflected. In fact, she is smiling in the original and is very much a part of a happy group. I used B&W Styler to arrive at the color.

Hetrick's Barn

I hate this barn picture. I am not bucolic by nature.

Bu col ic–adjective Also, bu⋅col⋅i⋅cal.
1. of or pertaining to shepherds; pastoral.
2. of, pertaining to, or suggesting an idyllic rural life.

Give me grungy city streets any day.

It's true.

Once upon a time...

Please Click Images to Enlarge.

The sky melted like a tear of milk. The people too were saddened, and wept.

You could still see the old sky if you looked quickly out of the corner of your eye. The people were amazed, and heads turned like toys on sticks, as they tried to see the old sky entirely.

A new sky appeared without warning. The people were displeased. But it was too late. So they learned to live with it. After a while, the people forgot there ever was an old sky, and went back to TV for their pleasure.

The "Once upon a time" series is dedicated to Jigs Javier.
